What personal data we collect and why we collect it


When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.


If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Live chat, contact and download forms

This website is using Tidio, a chat platform that connects users with the customer support of Invest Money PH. We are collecting names and email addresses only with the consent of the users, in order to start the chat. The messages and data exchanged are stored within the Tidio application. The exchange of messages (“transcripts”) may be published within the site to aid, inform, and educate other readers, to engage into a healthy, productive and informative discussion, but it shall be done with utmost care, without compromising the privacy of the customer. Only anonymised non-personally identifiable nicknames shall be used and no personal data shall be divuldged publicly by Invest Money PH.

Invest Money PH is not making use of these messages or data other than what the user has consented to, as well as to follow up on users’ registered issues or inquiries. Your personal data will be processed and transmitted in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Furthermore, your information is captured when you submit a contact form, or download our freebies and such information is transmitted to us via secured email (GMail, Mailchimp, etc). The information is stored safely in the email servers we use. These information will not be shared to any 3rd party. Likewise, such information will not be used for marketing purposes (i.e. email newsletter) without your express consent.


If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

Data Used

We collect and send the following information (made available from the visitor’s browser) to our Demand Partners: IP address, geographical data (derived from the IP address), user agent, operating system, device type, unique user ID (randomly generated identifier), current URL, and IAB (Interactive Advertising Bureau) interest category.

Data Retention

Log data (IP address, geographical data, user agent, operating system, device type) is stored for 30 days. The unique user ID is stored in cookies and is retained for 1 year.

Activity Tracked

We track ad impressions, video-related events (i.e. pause, mute, 100% plays, etc.) or errors, and ad click events.

Various cookies are used for the following purposes: delivering targeted advertisements to specific visitors, storing user identifiers, and collecting anonymous ad platform stats.

Who we share your data with

We do not share any personal data with anyone. We use intermediaries (Google Feedburner, MailChimp, and WordPress) to build our subscriber base. You may have used any of these intermediaries when you subscribed to our articles and feeds. These intermediaries are also governed by their own Privacy Policies.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

How we protect your data

When you visit our online store

We collect information about you during the checkout process on our store.

We also accept payments via bank deposits or online transfer. We understand some banks require depositor name and address before accepting deposit payments (we don’t!). It is the respective bank’s responsibility to secure personal information of its depositors and personal data shared with banks is not the responsibility of this website. Likewise, screenshots of online payments mask the source account number of the payment.
