Fully or partially pre-term your loans. I know this sounds so killjoy but hey, delay of gratification is always gratifying. And think about this. Imagine the interest savings you can get by pre-terminating your loans. Or the freed up money that used to be spent on amortizations.
Arguably one of the easiest way to be a millionaire is get life insurance. Sure you don’t enjoy the sum assured of Php1M while you’re alive but still, we can’t deny the fact that most of us save and invest, not just for personal use, but also for our dear dependents in life.
The investment portion, is not guaranteed, it may have gains or it may incur losses, and it is withdrawable by the policy owner. Every month of savings, the portion that goes to investments is used to buy units in the funds chosen by the client.
Both pre-need and life insurance investments are subject to market risk since they need to invest their funds and premium payments to make it grow, and to service future claims. However, recall that a pre-need plan has already promised to pay your future cost not matter how much it is (open-ended, making it harder to fulfill).
Current times may not be the best time to trade actively and most would rather watch on the sides as the market tries to figure out where it’s headed. Can’t help but reiterate though that this is the best time to learn. Learn on your own and learn from the experts.
