Daily Bread Challenge: March 2013

None of us are truly free without forgiveness. We need God’s and others need ours.

Can you feel the heat?!? March was a full month personally and globally. Had to prioritize two of my new extra-curriculars (hence less posts lately) and some major world news, such as a Pope resigning and now we have a new one, Cyprus bailout, PSE bloody correction, Kris and Chiz, Philippines becoming investment grade and a whole lot more. Plus the Holy Week.

This is the third month of a year-long daily bread daily nuggets of wisdom journey, so here’s the entry for March 2013.

March2013

Day
Bite-size Nugget of Wisdom
1
Father forgive us for fearing what we should not be afraid of, and for failing to fear and trust You.
2
Grant Hill on off-season practice: “I just didn’t feel that I could take a week off. When I take one day off, I feel like I’m lacking a bit.” So with our spirituality.
3
None of us are truly free without forgiveness. We need God’s and others need ours.
4
Our greatest enemy is not disease, but despair. Our body may struggle, but don’t let it affect our spirit.
5
Faith in Christ is the only ticket to heaven.
6
God always rewards hidden spirituality. The things done for God’s eyes are the things that matter.
7
Apart from a life of faith in Christ, there is no eternal purpose to what we are doing. “Like an idiot’s tale, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.”
8
We are winners. Think less of the power of things over you, but more of the power of Christ in you.
9
Focus on Christ whether a miracle takes place or not. Walk by faith, not by sight.
10
Faith is not just believing that Jesus can save. It is asking Him to do it.
11
Exercise your spiritual gifts.
12
Which of the 31,173 verses in the Bible is your favorite?
13
Contentment comes not from great wealth but from few wants.
14
The more we focus and understand the invisible spiritual world, the better perspective we have of the visible physical world.
15
Differentiate external and eternal standards. Have a clean obedient heart, which is Christ’s home.
16
Can’t sleep? Don’t count the sheep. Talk to the Shepherd.
17
Christ meets our greatest need.
18
The only way to get to heaven is through faith in Jesus Christ. (see 05Mar as well).
19
Live as if Christ will come today.
20
Christ Himself is the Truth. (Excuse me Paul Pierce hehe)
21
When you open your mind to the Savior, He opens your heart to the Word.
22
The earth is full of goodness of the Lord (Ps. 35:5). God’s hand is in everything so you can leave everything in God’s hand.
23
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
24
God never sleeps so we in turn can sleep in peace. Cast your burdens upon Him.
25
We are all imperfect. We can find sufficiency in God.
26
Trials are friends if our goal is to be like Jesus. Trials are enemies if our only goal is to avoid them.
27
Our confidence and courage comes from our relationship with Him.
28
Our sin is great. God’s grace greater.
29
When we fall, we can begin anew.
30
When we sin, we must be willing to learn from God’s correction.
31
God measures greatness by service. Servant leadership.

It’s officially summer now!
