Daily Bread Challenge: February 2013(2-min read)

Time flies. We are now through with 2013’s first two months, the second being the love month, as well as the month when Chinese New Year officially starts the Year of the Water Snake. And as second installment of a year-long daily bread daily nuggets of wisdom journey, here’s the entry for February 2013.

Day
Bite-size Nugget of Wisdom
1
Only God is great. Everything and everyone is nothing if not for Him.
2
Be rich in God, not in goods. (Ouch!)
3
Jesus took my place on the cross to give me a place in heaven. No one has valued me more.
4
Respond to injustice in a Christ-like manner: quiet, peaceful, faithful and hopeful in the face  of provocation
5
Be quick to judge yourself, but slow to judge others.
6
God is not confined to Sundays. Walk with Him Sundays to Saturdays.
7
Looking for a field of service? Look around you. And read the Manual.
8
Worrying does not change anything. Trusting the Lord changes everything.
9
Do others imitate us because we model Him?
10
Christ was born here below that we may be born from above.
11
Fellowship in worship. Believers stand strong when they do not stand alone.
12
The more time you spend with Him, the more you will become like Him.
13
We are more effective witnesses when we show God’s love than man’s sin.
14
Listening is part of loving. Sometimes all we need to do is listen, and not provide solutions to problems. (ahem ahem).
15
An offense against your neighbor builds a fence between you and God.
16
Be like a maker of a well who brings no water to his source, but allows the water he finds there to flow freely without stoppage, diversion or defilement. (Johann Bengel)
17
Burned out? The most practical remedy, if it is the right one, is usually the most spiritual one as well. No distinction between practical and spiritual. One and the same.
18
Honor your father and mother.
19
Friends are seldom found, they are made. Be the friend you want to have.
20
True and lasting greatness stems from who and what we are. Begin by being. Meron.
21
Don’t be surprised when God answers your prayers. Pray with confidence, with faith.
22
Our love for Christ is only as real as our love for our neighbors. Treat everyone as King – as Christ.
23
There are worse things than dying. Dishonoring Christ is one.
24
Gandhi on humility: I know your capacity to do great things. But I have yet to discover your capacity to do little things.
25
Nothing speaks more clearly of God’s love than Jesus Christ on the cross.
26
God’s guidance through the Bible only benefits us when we trust His Word and obey it.
27
Denying your self things is not the same as denying yourself. It is easier to give things than to give ourselves.
28
We know what to do as Christians but most of the time we get lazy and sloppy and not do it.

We’re now on our way to the Graduation month!
